Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts will open the 58th season of Highland Summer Theatre with Scott McPherson’s “Marvin’s Room”. The production is made possible by a generous sponsorship from TRIO Student Support Services at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Marvin’s Room runs May 28-31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Tickets are $17 regular price and $15 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more.
This deeply moving story follows Bessie, a selfless woman caring for her ailing father and eccentric aunt, as she reconnects with her estranged sister, Lee, after years apart. When Bessie receives a life-changing diagnosis, the sisters must navigate their complicated past to find hope, healing, and the meaning of family.
