Opening Reception for Holly Dodge’s Solo Exhibition “Gorgeous Nothings”

Please join us for the Opening Reception of Holly Dodge’s Solo Exhibition “Gorgeous Nothings,” and Geoffrey Tollefson’s window exhibition “Limited Condition.”
While creating work for this exhibition, writer and visual artist Holly Dodge found inspiration inside the poems of Emily Dickinson. Using meticulously sourced vibrant flora, fauna, and anatomical images from books, Dodge creates thoughtful and intricate collages that can visually sing. They are truly treat to behold!
Prefacing Dodge’s creations, is Geoffrey Tollefson: a visual multimedia and Mankato-based artist who primarily uses graphite and acrylics to translate emotions and dreams into colorful, textured works of art.
His upcoming window exhibition is inspired by the balance of 3 rhetorics: Logos, Pathos, and Ethos.
Using wooden sculptures and a large, vibrant painting depicting the 3 mindsets, Tollefson hopes to help individuals remember that the human experience thrives when we integrate multiple perspectives and embrace the complexity that comes from balancing logical, emotional, and ethical thoughts.
The opening reception will be held on Saturday, August 31st from 3-5pm. Light food and refreshments will be available!
